Ryan T. Cox recently joined L&B Law Group upon relocating with his family from New York City to Southern California.
Prior to joining the firm, Ryan was a Partner in one of the largest and most prestigious medical malpractice defense firms in New York City. He defended clients in federal and state court actions involving medical malpractice, dental malpractice, ADA discrimination law, nursing home defense, general liability, and professional liability. Every year from 2015-2019, Ryan was recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” (top 2.5%) in the area of medical malpractice defense for the New York Metro area. He also lectured to clients on risk management issues and authored many articles in legal and medical news publications.
Ryan obtained his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Central of Florida. He is admitted in California and New York.
Jackson earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2018. In 2015, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University, where he was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, Phi Delta Phi Pre-Law Honor Society, and club lacrosse team captain. While in law school, Jackson worked with the Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution as a volunteer mediator and conciliator.
Jackson is licensed to practice law in all California state courts.
Meaghan B. Henderson is an associate with the firm who focuses her practice on the defense of medical malpractice and general liability claims.
Meaghan graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy, with an emphasis in Ethics and Public Policy. During her time at UCSB, she was a member of Delta DeltaDelta. In 2019, Meaghan obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and became a member of the State Bar of California. While in law school, Meaghan participated in the International Chamber of Commerce Mediation Competition, honing her skills as a negotiator and advocate in Paris, France and served as the chair of Outlaw, the on-campus LGBTQIA+ organization.
Prior to joining L&B Law Group, Meaghan clerked at the Children’s Law Center of California and spent time as a legal assistant at a plaintiffs’ construction defect litigation firm. In her free time, Meaghan enjoys cooking, traveling and binge-watching Netflix.

Amy Ifurung-Cook obtained a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California, San Diego. Prior to joining the firm, Amy worked for several years defending companies in general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and products liability matters.
Amy is licensed to practice in all California state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
A lifelong resident of Los Angeles County, Kevin Miller graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles magna cum laude in 2007 before graduating from Southwestern Law School in 2012. While attending law school, Mr. Miller gained work experience at a workers’ compensation law firm as well as with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
After law school, Mr. Miller worked at several real estate litigation firms, drafting motions and pleadings, and interviewing clients. Additionally, Mr. Miller conducted internal investigations of employee misconduct for a large public entity and advised executive management on employment and discipline-related issues. Prior to joining L&B Law Group, Mr. Miller practiced law for several years at a civil litigation defense firm. His work included all stages of pre-trial and trial litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, and trial preparation. This practice encompassed a wide range of areas of law, including employment, civil rights, medical malpractice, prisoners’ rights, and premises liability.
Kevin Miller is licensed to practice in all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
John Reilly is a native of Los Angeles. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA with a double major in economics and political science. While at UCLA, John was active in the school’s official charity, Unicamp, and later became vice president of its board of directors.
After graduating UCLA, John attended Pepperdine University School of Law and obtained a JD in 1991. While at Pepperdine, John earned a scholarship from the Pepperdine Advocates for Public Interest Law and won the Pepperdine London Moot Court Competition. John has been practicing law since 1992 and has focused in several areas of law, including medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, products liability, premises liability, toxic torts, dental malpractice, automobile and fire accidents, and dependency law.
Prior to starting with L&B Law Group in 2018, John did medical and dental defense work where he co-tried cases and participated in mediations. John was also a court appointed attorney at the Children’s Court for over five years and, while there, did dozens of bench trials and handled an extensive case load.
John’s hobbies include traveling, soccer, surfing, and playing guitar.
Jacob is an associate with L&B Law Group. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 2019 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 2015. While in law school, Jacob was a coordinator and team leader for the Loyola Young Lawyers Program, a decorated mock trial program focused on introducing high school students to the field of law. He was also an active participant in Loyola public interest events and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
Prior to joining L&B Law Group, Jacob clerked for a workers’ compensation defense firm and the Public Defender’s Office felony panel, giving him insight into a wide variety of legal defense strategies.

An associate of the firm, Zach Schwake specializes in employment litigation. Zach graduated from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2014. While in law school, Zach participated in an employment clinic where he investigated, mediated, and gave ruling recommendations on employee wage disputes filed with a state agency.
Prior to joining the firm, Zach worked at a labor and employment defense firm, defending employers in litigation as well as administrative hearings and government investigations. Zach has also been a speaker on various employment law topics and has advised human resources departments on proper employment practices.
Zach is licensed to practice in California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Jeannette Van Horst is an associate with the firm.
Jeannette has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in nursing and is a Registered Nurse. She received her juris doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in 1993.
She is a member of the California Bar Association and she is also on the alumni board of directors at Southwestern University School of Law.
Jeannette is licensed to practice before all the courts in the State of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Trevor C. Wong is an associate with the firm and focuses his practice on personal injury and employment litigation.
A native of San Francisco, Trevor graduated from Arizona State University in 2014, where he obtained his Bachelors of Arts degree in Business and was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society. In 2018, Trevor obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. While in law school, Trevor worked at a workers’ rights clinic, representing low-income workers in wage theft claims against their employers.
Prior to joining L&B Law Group, Trevor clerked at a family law firm as well as the Public Defender’s Office. In his free time, Trevor enjoys traveling, playing golf, and watching Bay Area sports teams.
